Daniel Taub, a London ambassador, was born in 1962 in Great Britain. He attended school at Oxford and London University College, and the Harvard University. In 1989, he shifted to Israel.
As soon as Taub got to Israel, he began working for the then President Chaim Herzog in the post of a speechwriter. Starting then, he began serving as a reserve executive and combat medic in the international law sector. He proceeded to work at the Israeli foreign ministry in 1991, where he held various diplomatic and legal positions. Between 2011 and 2015, he became the ambassador of Israel in the United Kingdom. The series has a setting that is ultra-orthodox Hasidic, and Daniel Taub refers to it as a link between the Chosen and Downtown Abbey. Most shows done by Taub are geared towards breaking down all stereotypes of religious and secular divisions within the Israeli community.
Taub has served in various political, legal and diplomatic positions in the foreign ministry of Israel. He is proficient in international law, having specialized in war laws and counter-terrorism.
As the legal advisor of foreign affairs in Israel, Taub spearheaded Israel’s missions to the UN in Geneva and New York. He also represented Israel in other different multilateral arenas.
Daniel Taub was part of Israel’s negotiation team during the Israel-Syrian negotiations and the Israel-Palestinian peace processes. He negotiated for Magen Adom to join the Red Cross after a long time of exclusion. In addition, during the Gaza flotilla case, Taub faced the UN committee on behalf of Israel.
